Award-Winning Craft Brewery & Brick Oven Pizza in Historic Orange, Va.

Iron Pipe Alewerks began with a father and son, a family garage, and a shared love of great craft beer. Steve and Zach spent years brewing together at home before turning that passion into Iron Pipe Alewerks. Zach brings more than 13 years of experience in the craft beer and brewery industry, developing recipes that respect traditional beer styles while occasionally bending the rules to create something unexpected. Both Steve and Zach studied beer styles and judging standards through the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), working under the guidance of an accomplished master judge. That experience strengthened their understanding of aroma, flavor, balance, ingredients, and brewing techniques—and continues to influence every beer brewed at Iron Pipe. 

Since opening in 2019, we have continued to learn, experiment and improve while staying true to what brought us here in the first place: making flavorful, high-quality craft beer and sharing it with our community. Today, you’ll find us inside the revitalized historic 1929 American Silk Mill in downtown Orange, Virginia.

Come for the beer, but don’t be surprised if the pizza becomes the reason you come back. We make our dough fresh using Italian “00” flour, quality ingredients and even a little of our own beer in the recipe. Our brick oven runs at more than 700°F, giving our pizzas the distinctive crust, texture and flavor our guests have come to love.Choose from one of our specialty pizzas or build your own with a variety of fresh and local toppings.

And don’t overlook the wings. Our oven-baked wings are cooked at more than 700°F for a crispy finish without a fryer. If you’ve never tried wings prepared this way, give them a shot and be the judge yourself.
